The year was 1961 when Francesco Ferro, his wife Edda and the two sisters-in-law Saura and Carla opened a small deli. Soon enough, it became a full fledged restaurant by expanding its surface with a beautiful terrace that, to this day, charmingly frames our gastronomic experience.
Finished in 2017, the overwater terrace was based on a project by the architect Sestieri from Florence, a dearly missed friend of Francesco Ferro’s. The spacious dining area surrounded by glass walls allows you to enjoy the amazing landscape where the peaks of the Apuan Alps split up the bright blue sky and river water.
Located at the mouth of the Magra river, from which it takes its name, Bocca di Magra is a small town at the border of Liguria and Tuscany, situated on a long piece of flat fertile land that looks over the sea and the majestic Apuan Alps.
Its strategic position and breathtaking landscape made it a disputed land over the centuries, and today it boasts the presence of marble quarries and a few gorgeous towns like Ameglia, Portovenere, Lerici and Cinque Terre, woven into a precious web of artistic, historical and natural wonders.
